Sports Letter from the TEACH board president

Dear Parents:
We were privileged to minister to 168 athletes in the 2010/2011 school year. We are a volunteer organization created to give parents the support they need so their children can play organized sports. I want to thank all of the parents who made this program possible this year. If parents do not get involved in their child's sport, then the program dies and the homeschool community suffers.

Many dedicated parents have helped to build a respected reputation in the sports community, have graduated their children, and have even volunteered beyond those years. We know there are parents out there who are of the same caliber and who have the same enthusiasm for their children's sports.

We need you parents to take a step of faith and get involved in the future of homeschool sports, as well as the other programs that T.E.A.C.H. offers the homeschool community. We supply parents with the tools they need - equipment, uniforms, venues, know-how. But, ultimately, this is part of your homeschool curriculum, and you are responsible for filling positions.

The homeschool phenomenon is changing; however, where else can homeschoolers go for sports? Is it worth it to you that your child become physically strong and learn to work well in a team effort? This is a vital tool they will use throughout their future community life. Will you take the time to show them you can be a part of a team, too?

Sincerely,

Gerald A. Blau
T.E.A.C.H. Board President
